Description

Love has a name, and that name is Jesus.

Have you ever heard that the world just needs more love and more Jesus? Sounds like a nice sentiment, but how do we actually love like Jesus loved? Let’s Do Lunch defines and applies love as seen by one woman’s investigation of her late father’s ministry in becoming Love. He spent his life becoming Love through action in his short life. Discover how this father loved not only his family well but also all others he came into contact with. He seldom questioned the Master’s call on his life and sacrificed much to show teenagers the love of Jesus. His favorite way to connect with and listen to others was over a meal. Being a juvenile probation officer and a youth pastor took up much of his time, but he knew he had to have lunch and used the line, “Let’s do lunch,” as a way of opening up time in his schedule for someone that needed a listening ear. Let’s do lunch was his invitation to those that were lost, confused, or uncertain in their life. It was his gift to those that did not even know they needed someone to listen. It was his calling to give his time and love in a way that most people overlook. The invitation “Let’s do lunch” was a ministry for all.
