From then on, a series of stories followed that show García Márquez in total control of his narrative talent: “Los funerales de la Mamá Grande” / “Big Mama’s Funeral”, where the majestic funeral of the true sovereign of Macondo is told, and “La increíble y triste historia de la cándida Eréndira y su abuela desalmada” / “The Incredible and Sad Tale of Innocent Eréndira and Her Heartless Grandmother”.
